  2. Logo of the Calgary FlamesCalgary Flames (9→2)
ROUND 1TEAMORIGINALPLAYERDETAILS
Logo of the Montreal Canadiens-Pretty sure this has to be SJ since Calgary jumped to 2, but we all know its gonna be Celebrini regardless.
Logo of the Calgary Flames-CGY needs a star and Demidov is the best of the group to provide that outside of Celebrini.
Logo of the San Jose Sharks-TRADE: Anaheim trades 5th overall and 24th overall for 3rd and 66th overall with SJ Sharks. Anaheim drafts Levshunov to replace Drysdale.
Logo of the Chicago Blackhawks-Chicago thinks about moving back slightly, but decides to take the big 2C to compliment Bedard down the middle.
Logo of the Anaheim Ducks-To shore up defense with Mukhamadullin and Thrun, SJ draft RHD of the future.
Logo of the Columbus Blue Jackets-This is such a CLB move to draft the towering defenseman.
Logo of the Ottawa Senators-RW that can slide in when G retires. I think they really need a RHD. Correct me if Im wrong. There were none available by 8 in this mock.
Logo of the Seattle Kraken-Seattle is very happy Dickinson drops to them. Very Francis pick.
Logo of the New Jersey Devils-TRADE: NJ trades 10 to Philadelphia for 12 and 51. Overpay but thats what it takes with division rivals. Philly grabs Berkly Catton for their top 6 Center pairing.
Logo of the Buffalo Sabres-RW goes here to a team that has all the prospects in the world.
Logo of the Philadelphia Flyers-TRADE: NJ, in their trade, slides down and selects a big Center that can move Hughes to wing.
Logo of the Minnesota Wild-Minny very happily selects Buium to pair with Faber. What a duo.
Logo of the San Jose SharksLogo of the Pittsburgh PenguinsShockingly, SJ grabs Iginla who is somehow on the board.
Logo of the Detroit Red Wings-Detroit stops the fall for Eiserman. Gonna be a stud scorer.
Logo of the St. Louis Blues-BPA
Logo of the Washington Capitals-LHD is needed in prospect pool. Enter Hutson.
Logo of the New York Islanders-According to The Athletic, Islanders have worst prospect pool. Sennecke has been in top 10 mocks for some people. I think this seems right. BPA.
Logo of the Vegas Golden Knights-They hide Connelly is city of sin.
Logo of the Chicago BlackhawksLogo of the Tampa Bay LightningCHI rolls the die with Jiricek and hopes he can be RHD that stays healthy.
Logo of the Los Angeles Kings-This just feels right.
Logo of the Nashville Predators-RHD needed to compliment Molendyk
Logo of the Toronto Maple Leafs-This team needs more defense instead of acquiring aging vets who just don't cut it.
Logo of the Anaheim DucksLogo of the Edmonton Oilers
Logo of the Colorado Avalanche-Future planning. Having to trade for Mittselsadt, makes me think they desperately need C.
Logo of the Ottawa SenatorsLogo of the Boston BruinsContinue to build offense. EJ Emery is an option here as well.
Logo of the Montreal CanadiensLogo of the Winnipeg JetsPretending they got Celebrini, I'll go with more offense here at RW.
Logo of the Carolina Hurricanes-More center Depth which could be trade bait for many teams needing centers.
Logo of the Calgary FlamesLogo of the Vancouver CanucksRHD are always good to acquire. 2nd pairing of great 3rd line pairing dman.
Logo of the Philadelphia FlyersLogo of the Florida PanthersPerfect fit next to Drysdale or Bonk.
Logo of the Dallas Stars-If its Dallas picking, this guy will turn into an All-Star.
Logo of the New York Rangers-Well, you know they are not taking LW, so lets go with a big RW.

The Caps do not need LHD at all. All three of their LHD are under 25 and they have 3 coming out of college that will be going to Hersey/South Carolina. Plus Hardy-Aktell is still an RFA for us. We definitely need either RW or RHD

I've long thought Washington is the team that's going to take Connelly. They have a long history of taking guys that other teams had major concerns about to take swings on upside (Lapierre with concussions, Miro with Hodgkins, Cristall with translatability, etc)

I would agree with the idea of them taking Connelly, but I think they vet everyone they draft in the first round or two very well. If Miro was healthy and did not have that diagnosis he was seen as a top 10 player in the draft. The Capitals looked at raw talent there and saw someone they felt was worth their pick.

Which LHD? Lemay? Johnson? Checking your top prospects list... I dont see LHD. I see Leonard at RW and Miro at LW.

No, Lemay and Gucciardi plus HHA and Geisser, But look at the roster. We have three young talented 24 yr old defensemen on the left side. We do not need anymore in the system for the time being. We can draft them in later rounds to fill that position out. We need to focus on building our next offense after the Ovi era or get some more talented RHD (we have Chesley now but we could get another to help with the aging side of our d-core
