If Fiala is not willing to sign a team friendly deal, MN will not be able to squeeze him in. Meier's contract would probably work

Meier has a QA of 10 million year after next , good luck with that. You would be trading Fiala for 1 year of Timo.

Both decline. Sharks don't want to add since Fiala and Meier are basically even skill-wise. And Minnesota can't afford Meier's 10 million QO.

Yea the Wild are getting next to no value here. Meier would be around for 1 year and then they'd be right back in the same scenario with him next summer as they are with Fiala this summer - they can't afford either guy. Fiala is getting traded for futures.
