I don't think pick 40 makes the risk worth it. Better to just pick your guy at 5, no?

You could get a 1st and more for Wilson without retaining any salary. Montreal is not dropping down for that package.

TBH i wouldnt mind dropping 3 spots for Wilson included in that package with RS on Wilson still.
MTL can either re-sign him if he clicks with Caufield-Suzuki creating a ton of space for them and maybe giving CC an injury free year.
Or we can trade him at the TDL and get more of a return

Either way its worth trading down from Elite to All Star level talent
MTL gets Leonard or Reinbacher or Dvorsky the players it heavily looked at as alternatives to Michkov

WSH gets the heir to Ovi's throne
