Theyre only looking to dump campbell, not take a bunch of poor contracts/average players back.

Pearson had a few good games, but has been terrible his last 10 outings. He should not be on the ice

Yeah thats fair, most of the team has been off this month, but I see what you mean. Maybe put savard instead to help their defence.

Agree on them wanting to dump Campbell but they are also interested in acquiring a goalie and have looked into all 3 Habs goalies, Evens and Kovacevic are ceap depth peices that the Oil should have interest in as well. So I think if you removed Pearson and the 4th you can likely drop McLeod and the retention on Campbell

Agree somewhat, I just dont think they move three young players and a 1st to get cap dumps back in Pearson, Allen, and a couple of depth guys. If you had said one of those guys and a 2024 1st and campbell for 1 of the cap dumps: pearson or allen, thats probably not far off.

But allen and pearson are playing horribly, have been for a while, and theyre not going to get better. In fact allen at 3.8mil for 2 yrs for 4 yrs of 5mil campbell, 1 oif their young guys and a 1st is probably real close

Have you even watched a Habs game this year where Allen has played?! Saying he is playing "horribly" suggests you probably haven't, Allen has been great, he has kept the Habs in more games than they realistically would have been in and has already stolen 1 or 2 games with his stellar play. He has faced the 3rd most S/60 (38.1) in the league so far and still ranks 24th in sv% among all goalies who have started more than 5 games. His .907 sv% is better than guys like Saros, Georgiev, Kuemper and Hellebuyck, on a much worse team with one of the youngest bluelines in the entire league. Just looking at Sv% and GAA without context is a horrible way to form opinions since the context tells the whole story.
