I don’t think Niemela fairs well in the NHL either. He’s too small and fragile imo

Weekes said that hes drawing interest from lots of teams... and also I hate that narrative about size... skill means quite a lot more than size in todays nhl

Even adding another late 1st, This offer would still be beat. Timmins is a bottom pairing RHD and Niemela is still aways away from being NHL ready Jones is a below average backup that the Flames don't need.

Small with Skill might work if you play forward, but not if you play defence. Regardless, Flames want nothing to do with Niemela and don’t pay too much attention to these “insiders’ and hockey reporters. They’re paid to form opinions, make up rumors and create clickbait
