Yes, but to defend Fletcher just a little bit (won't do that again), he signed this before his injury and that back operation. And when this contract was signed he was already a selke winner and high on voting in other years also. + He had better ppg than Bergeron, O'Reilly, Kesler, Duchene or Couture while the adjusted avg of this was also lower than any of those players when they signed their big contracts.

So it wasn't that bad contract when he signed it (maybe just 2 years too long), just bad injury happened.
