Levshunov is tempting, but has a lot of holes in his game. Demidov is easily the second best player in the draft and would pair nicely with Bedard, especially with Chicago already having a decent defensive depth in the prospect pool.

Imo, taking Lev here would easily be considered drafting for need. I would definitely understand it if Demidov had outside factors that impacted (bad character, Russian factor) but the fact that he is reportedly a very good locker room guy, and he has a 1 year deal, risk do seem low for CHI

But Chicago D prospect pool and NHL group isn’t weak, they seem to need forwards more

They don’t really have any long term RDs. Realistically, they have a bunch of holes to fill still

Understandable! But this isn’t the last draft in their rebuild. And Jones is still signed for a long time and you guys Have Rinzel who looks good, I would go Demidov and RD with the 2nd 1st.
