It doesn’t sound like they will be too aggressive based on Adams interview with Frank. Sounds like he wants to get tougher on the bottom 6.

Insert Karlsson and Watson In that bottom 6, and defensively, they are much tougher to play against.

I don’t think they need to be aggressive on the trade front for another year of evaluation.

But if you have the chance to sign a Debrusk you do it

Watson can’t play a full 82 games he’s not a full time NHL player. Karlsson probably has the Sabres on his NTC, but he would be a good add.

Theyre definitely not going to trade 5 guys and their pick in 2024, but I think thats true no matter who the GM would be here except maybe Tim Murray lol

I really don’t think that next year is an evaluation year. Last year, before the season they said that playoffs is the expectation- they didn’t make it, and Granato was fired. Kevyn Adams is the second longest NHL Gm that hasn’t made the playoffs with his current team. The other is Steve Y, who had a much more impressive history which gives him some more leeway. I would think that if they miss the playoffs, Kevyn Adams is out.

Your team is too young and you don’t have a single good defensive RD. You have too many puck movers vs stud defensive guys. Same issue as ottawa

That may be, there are issues on the roster for sure. However, Kevyn Adams likely does not have time for another evaluation year. It’s either he believes in the roster (with or without some minor additions) and they make the playoffs, saving his job, or they miss and he’s out. Or, they make some more aggressive moves to shore up the roster, and give Adams a better chance at keeping his job. They have plenty of ammunition for an aggressive move: Kulich, Savoie, Rosen, Ostlund, Wahlberg, 11OA.
