Don't mind the trade, but geez no Clarke on the roster. Byfield signs for just 3m? Too much term for Samsonov

Sorry but you have to pay to get rid of that contract, Montreal has guys like Newhook putting up better numbers at half the price so even if the retention was 50% it wouldn't happen. Montreal is trying to build a culture as well as a team that can compete, bringing in PLD is the last thing they'd do.

I'll disagree with that I think Martin St. Louis can fix him.

Unrealistic for Byfield. Moore and Danault haven't been separated, Anderson and Doughty are preferred partners, if the Kings move on from PLD they immediately place Byfield at 3C not sure what they would do with Dvorak and Anderson who are defensive liabilities and can't score. Why is LA trading for Schmid who will need to clear waivers and the Kings already have Portillo?

Most of this makes LA a worse team than they were last season and values are all over the place, no chance Samsanov gets so much after his poor showing in the regular season and playoffs.

Rob Blake has confirmed that the Kings do not intend to buy out or trade PLD this summer.

This is paying and taking on bad contracts. LA is better off with PLD than with Dvorak and Anderson if they want to compete next season.

Dubois 103 points in the last 2 years for 6.5 mill vs Josh Anderson 52 points in the last 2 years for 5.5 million. Lmao
