Poolman played above his pay grade in Winnipeg so don’t look into analytics too much. When he was playing on the 3rd pair, he was a dominant force at times. He’s solid in the 3 rd spot
And people where clowning Dubas for protecting a proven top 4 D man in Holl at $2M for 2 more years. Just shows how much he would have had to pay to replace him if they exposed him the expansion draft. Ceci and Poolman contracts, yikes.
Poolman was the epitome of what was wrong with the Jets defensive depth last season as this guy is AHL quality. Offers nothing to the offense and is easily beaten to his right on the rush.
I dont see how the this turns out well for Vancity....at best its fair, but unlikely he ever gets off the 3rd pairing...more likely a healthy scratch- and at 2.5??
1.5 sure....and 2 or 3 years at most. How was there a bidding war for him?
