Florida declines for sure. Korpi will have to be bought out if we don't want him on the roster.

There's more of a chance that LA takes Korpi back knowing how well he played for them last year, than FLA taking him that's for sure.

Korpi for knight 1 for 1 isa trade i can see OTT doing, OTT takes a shot at knight and FLA takes a shot that with better D and a better system Korpi can get back to shape.

ah yes, Florida would totally want to make a 1 for 1 trade where they get an older higher paid less talented goalie and give away a young goalie with potential. totally makes sense

Well Knight has a higher cap hit. FLA is getting paid in a high 2nd, Kelly who plays their style (perfect for their 4th line) and Jarventie who still has some potential to fit in their middle 6. That is paying to move the last 2 years of Korpi contract.

Money is higher going to FLA but was more referring to Knight having a higher cap hit than Korpi. FLA getting a decent return for a guy they kept in the minors and was in PAP. FLA needs some young pieces/draft capital after trading a bunch in the past few years. Also, we all know that Korpi will be a top 10 goalie the year after OTT trades him (Talbot/Gus etc.)
