Raddysh's value is down but Chicago isn't giving him away for free.

Even leaving out Anderson/4th, it costs more than a 2nd to move Lee to Chicago.

Chicago doesn't want Toronto's garbage and they sure as hell aren't paying for it.

I think Reaves helps keep people off Bedard and the Hawks need the RD gap before some of these prospects are ready... plus Niemla has some value IMO.

Reaves doesn't scare anybody at this point. Chicago is trying to build a fast and talented team and Reaves is neither of those. Even on a team as bad as Chicago last year, Reaves isn't good enough at hockey at this point to deserve a roster spot.

Stamkos isn't going anywhere but I'd do a 3rd next year for Raddysh

You can't possibly think he leaves Tampa Bay for 6.3 come on now.
    A. He's not leaving.
    B. If he does Miraculously leave it's to a team that's a right now Stanley Cup Contender. Chicago ain't that.

TB is cap strapped have very little draft ammunition and they have to give Hedman new cash after this season... I think the chances of them letting Stamkos walk are greater than you think... also Stamkos has won his cups, he will probably think more about cash in his mid 30's and what top line can still get him some numbers. Playing wing to Bedard for the next 3-4 years is not a hard sell, the Hawks will be a playoff team very soon.

Go listen to his exit interview on the lightning YouTube you'll see you're absolutely wrong in that assessment.hesbrepeated time and again in interviews how Cups are what driving him to keep playing.

Any athlete in their right mind will give that "championship" answer but the fact is they play to make money. If he came out and said he wants to keep playing to get paid he becomes a villain. Sure they all want to win the cup but they want to be paid to do so first.

Listen to him speak there is a big difference in someone giving cliches and the body language and facial expressions of a person who means it. Unless Stamkos is an academy award quality actor he was speaking from the heart. He's made almost $100,000,000 and kept a better portion than a lot of hockey players due to playing 16 years in Tampa Bay.

Anybody who just got ousted in the first round is going to be fired up... when his agent tells him "X" team will give you millions more and term greater than Tampa can his body language will tell a different story at that time. This will be Stamko's last chance to make some bank in FA before his career is over and he could chase 1 year vet minimum contracts if he still wants to get his name on the Cup again... that being said ... in the next 3-4 years I think Chicago's chances with Stamkos on that team are greater than Tampa at winning the cup again.

I'm going to copy this to myself and laugh at you when he signs in Tampa around 5.5-6 . You're higher than a satellite if you believe that. TB TOI age was fourteenth this year 7of the 8 team that made it to round 2 were older. Their window is far from. Closed. Only 1 top 6 foward was over 30 Stamkos. Only 1 top 4 defenseman was over 30 Hedman Vasilevskiy isn't 30 yet TB demise has been greatly exaggerated to paraphrase Mark Twain.

Anyone who is coming off a 40 goal season signing a deal that low should have their head examined. Dude could and should get a raise not a demotion in pay.

That's why TB won back to back championships has been to 4 cup Final in the last 10 2 Other ECF L. Guys do that because they want to be here. Kucherov was coming off a 113 point season the same years as Panarin signed in New York look at the difference. Id rather have Kucherov at the same salary nevermind $2,000,000 cheaper. Point is the third leading goal scorer over the last 3 years behind Mathews and Pasternak he's making 9.5 it's a TB culture Started basically by Stamkos and Hedman.
It also helps 5.5in Tampa will put more cash in the bank account than 6.3 will in the Chicagoland area

Some may call it culture other see it as they don't have to pay state income tax and thus that savings gets them the money... I get it Hawks had the glory for a decade and so did Tampa but the salary cap will eventually have fan favorite casualties. The fact that Tampa is running on E with draft picks this team is going to be terrible in about 4 years and have no way to build its system back up. However its worth it when you get the multipole cups.

After this year not really all they don't have next year is a 1and they have some mid-late round picks they acquired and in 26 they have a full slate. Stamkos could have gotten far more money even after taxes signing in Toronto especially if you add the Endorsements he'd been guaranteed by the CEO of Canadian Tire. So no that's not all it is TB management is also pretty liberal using bonus money instead of base pay

Stamkos isn't leaving his home and a contender in Tampa for a 6M deal in Chicago to go 23-47-12 or whatever. If he leaves, its for more money than that and with a contender.

Chicago is 3-4 years from even sniffing the postseason, let alone winning the cup.

The point I am trying to make is the long term future is greater success than the long term future of Tampa.
