Drew Bavaro Scouting Report

Bavaro has signed a one-year entry level contract with the Boston Bruins.
He's a big, right-shot, defenceman who was used in all situations at the college level with Notre Dame. In 35GP (23/24 season) he produced 10G-10A. It was a breakout year for him offensively. He logged over 20 minutes per game.
Bavaro handles the puck well. He distributes responsibly, and joins the rush as an extra layer offensively on occasion. Defensively he displays sound 'spatial awareness'. In order to find a role at the NHL level he will have to react / jump to space quicker on the perimeter to kill plays - especially on the PK.
Leans 2-way 'D' who has the size, sense, and compete for an NHL bottom pairing / recall role in time.
