The past seven years have completely warped the expectations of the Leafs players and their fans. It all started by signing Tavares when it was completely unnecessary. We set completely absurd "win-now" expectations and traded first-round picks EVERY season. Imagine we just kept Kadri as our second centre and stopped trading our first-round pick every single season. We would've been in a much better spot by now. What I'm saying is that, unfortunately, that's what we have to do NOW. The past 7 years that we have endured are a result of what happens when a team is IMPATIENT.

And what do u suggest we do? Sign more bloody Vets to try to win? NO U BUM! Just let our young guys play and see what happens…we win great…we lose oh well! I could care less, just need Marner’s and Tavares’ contracts to end then we can get going again on getting some good solid guy in the mix.
