Just like last year, the 23 man roster limit will not be in place following the trade deadline. Teams will be permitted to expand their rosters by a maximum of 3 forwards, 3 defensemen, and 1 goaltender.
This will apply for the March and April scoring periods. Note that your roster must still be below the cap ceiling.

Now that the TDL and March lock have passed it is time for me to step down from the BOG. I have a lot coming in the near future and won't be able to keep up with the activities of playoffs, re-signs, and general summer duties. I want to thank everybody that I've worked with on the BOG for the past ~4 years, I believe we have made the GM Game much better overall. I will stay on as a GM, just no more BOG.

Id like to make a suggestion to help our BOG with some upcoming off season tasks.
In an attempt to better make a master list of upcoming UFAs & RFAs I might make it easier if on our team pages you did the following...

UFAs - move them all to the SCRATCH column
RFAs - move them all to the INJURED RESERVE column

That way BOG can simply visit each page and very quickly make the list based on the above criteria rather than having to look through entire rosters.

**BOG** if you do not like this idea just say so. Wont hurt my feelings.

Trades and RFA negotiations are now open. Our in game salary cap for the 2024-2025 season will be set at 87.7M, with the lower limit set at 64.7M. Everyone please DM Dangles with your expring UFA's along with what bonuses you get.

As for RFA AND UFA negotiations, if they have an IRL deal and you are trying to negotiate a different contract, the BOG is now going to be a little more strict in terms of removing some years off a deal to lessen the AAV, we will not be as willing do drop the AAV in these cases.

Free Agency Changes - The new proposal has passed

The changes are as follows:

1. Players will be tiered in FA. Top players will be Tier 1, the next set Tier 2 and so on.

2. There will be changes to the schedule of FA. There will be a day in between voting to allow us to run the bids/draws and select the winners (this will become more clear as to why we need to do this as you read below). So Day 1 will be bidding, Day 2 BOG running numbers, Day 3 bidding, Day 4 running numbers etc. The reason for this will be explained below

3. This is the BIG one! You can bid on as few or as many players as you'd like and not have to worry about keeping every player you win or you can if you want. This will allow you to have a chance at your 2nd or 3rd choices if you do not win your top choice, unlike how it is done now where your 1st choice might be day 5 while your 2nd choice is day 2.
So this is how it will work...Day 1 - We bid on the X # of top tiered players from each position. You can bid on anyone you want, 1 player or all players. We then run the draw for each player as per usual but with 5 bids. If you win 1 draw only, you HAVE to take that player. If you win more than 1 draw, you have to take 1 player but can also take other players or decline the 2nd win (3rd, 4th etc.) player and that player then goes to the bidder that got 2nd in the draw. Day 3 you will bid on the 2nd tier of players and so on.

*We may make it so that you must give us a prioritized list of the players you are bidding on.

If you are using a free UFA re-sign, you MUST post it in the thread. If it is not in the thread, your player WILL be going to Free Agency. Post the name of your player even if they have no contract yet. Put whether "Matching IRL contract" or "in negotiations"

SALARY CAP IS UPDATED TO MATCH IRL. UPPER LIMIT WILL BE 88M AND FLOOR WILL BE 65M
