Finding more scoring is still our biggest need. I’m not sure what we can really add on D unless it’s moving on from POJ or another RHD for the 3rd pair but I wouldn’t want to spend much there.

A mid 1st and a good not expensive decent age 2 way middle 6F

Or just a swap for a top 4 RD under 26

Not that I'm particularly interested in moving Batherson.

But, for the sake of curiosity, would you be willing to give up the entire return on Guentzel for Batherson ?

A nearly 5 mil guy on the 4th line is not ideal. I'd rather use that money for a 2nd pair LD and drop Graves to the 3rd

i would not trade Bath for Makar 1 for 1, that is how much his contract is worth. a 5M 60-70 point RW in his prime, GL finding that anywhere else, his replacement would be 8M+ easy or 10M+ is Reignhart signs, then OTTs cap is ****ed.

That is maybe the worst comment I’ve ever seen on this site. You wouldn’t trade a good top 6 winger for the literal best dman in the league, who’s a top 5 player overall and only 25 years old, and signed on a team friendly deal for the next 3 seasons? That’s absurd

Graves has to be 2nd pairing and he should be. You don’t give up on a guy after one season of 6.

It's not giving up. If he plays good then great. Just means we have depth, something this team hasnt had since our cup runs

I know KK is young and can be a good NHL player - but given the difference in the length of contract and lack of cap savings, I think I'd rather just keep Smith for one year and throw one of our young C in the lineup.
