They dump Anderson and it only really cost a 3rd rounder and 2 lower tiered defense prospects as Hutson and Reinbacker are going to take their spots on the team anyways

1- we don’t need to dump anyone
2- Mikheyev is almost as bad as Anderson
3- Barron isn’t a low tier prospect
4- We are retaining 30% on Anderson
5- Canucks are freeing up more money than us there

1) yes you do, one of Dvorak, Anderson and Gallagher as not only expensive but progress stoppers for younger players
2) no Mikeyev is actually good defensive player, with speed just getting better after an mcl tear
3) Montreal is going to use Barron to trade at the draft as it seems Hughes and the front office don't want to pay him when they have Hutson and Reinbacher with Xhejak, Ghulie, Kovacevic and Matheson which is going to leave him as a 3rd pair defenseman at best with that depth
4) better then a buyout or paying a 1st or 2nd round pick to get him to go away
5) yeah still betting on Anderson to be a top 9 player and hoping Tocchet can get to him like he did with JT Miller and need the cap space

1- We don’t need to trade anyone. We have near 20m in cap space an waiver exist
2- Mikheyev is a mid third liner getting paid nearly 5m. He is a big cap dump
3- Barron is still viewed as a high end prospect by the organisation
4 and 5- Again, we don’t need to pay to dump anyone, and especially not waste a retention spot to get more money and players blocking young guys
