I know you moved jarnkrok out of cap considerations but nashville has zero want of him.

I personally think the price is probably fine though.

I personally wouldn't want to move Novak considering the fact that we just signed him and he the center situation is really bad. Maybe if Svechkov makes the day 1 team, then this could work, but I think he needs 1 more year in MKE.

I personally dont see novak as a center. He belongs on wing and moving him to get a better winger and then turn around and secure an actual center would work for me.

I agree with you on that assessment of Novak. I see him more as a LW who can play C. What concerns me is it just doesn't leave NSH with a lot of cap room and as a result might for a lot of guys up early and they might not be ready for it. They could do it, but it feels very high risk

Thats why i would include saros + novak in a trade if we were going after marner. That is 8.5 million going out and near 11 million coming in. Problem is where do we find a replacement 2C... not really much options in UFA, there are some trade options (all of which have warts), or the riskier offersheet options.

Would be nice if we would move on from one of schenn (fabbro to 3rd pair) or lauzon (stastney is better defensively but doesnt randomly hit things) to free up a bit more. That is 2 - 2.75 million on what should be 3rd pairing dmen. One at that price is a bit much, two that you cant even pair together is just too much.
