And got stomped by a team that got swept the next round. And if somehow the Devils had gotten past the Canes, one of the ten Panthers actually built for the playoffs would have turned Jack into mincemeat. The point is being built for playoffs, and 140lb skill boys aren't that.

He should start getting motivated in october then and stay motivated to help his team make the playoffs.

I like both players. You have some weird fetish to always hate on Brady when you know that it’s players like him that drag their teams through trials and tribulations of playoffs.


Brady Tkachuk is a great player. Probably somewhere around the top 50 or so in the league. He is not on the level of Jack Hughes.

The franchise I root for won because of a stifling defensive system that limited chances and the best goaltender of all time. Scott Stevens in fact significantly decreased how often he fought in NJD.

Scott Steven’s delivered hits that took out Kariya and Lindros and others.

New Jersey beat much more skilled teams back then because they had #grit.

And Scott Neidermeyer and Patrick Elias, neither of whom hit, fought, or took penalties were just as integral if not more so to those cup wins. Guys you would call soft and "not built for playoff hockey"

But sure, if you retroactively look through every cup winning team and only give credit to guys above 6 foot 3 who #hit, then you'll come to that conclusion.
