I don't think Seattle's in a position where paying to dump Burakovsky is a sensible move or one they need to make. His struggles with Seattle over his first two seasons have been injury related. When he's had a consistent run of games with the Kraken he's produced. It's no secret that Seattle needs to boost their scoring, and a healthy Burakovsky would go a long way in that effort. Not to mention, Seattle has a clean enough cap sheet to where they can go shopping for offensive help without needing to dump anyone.

i mean, this deal is structured so that they arent paying anything unless he sucks again.

the only thing dumb about it is the fact that the bolts gave all of that up. that is one of the worst trades of the past few years, doesnt set the bar for his value.

Rinzell is going back to college for at least another year. He's not NHL ready yet. No reason to rush him. Hawks keep Donato instead of re-signing Blackwell. Donato is younger, more reliable and more productive. Can't see Forbert or Blankenship being players the Hawks target. And no chance the Hawks make that Burakovsky deal.

I would much rather just re-sign Anderson.
