in my vegas mock offseason I have them getting marner & veleno plus i dont think the pens will wanna retain and for that reason i could see him going to another familiar team

Boston is better off resigning Heinen and going after a premium forward in free agency. Maybe after free agent options are done

I'd be ecstatic if Duchene comes to Pittsburgh, especially for that low of a cap hit, but I don't think it's all that realistic. Wouldn't mind some more of our young guys getting a shot or an upgrade on the LHD either.

Boston is not wasting draft capital on wings they don’t need when free agency could solve it if they did need.

There is also Merkulov and Lysell to accommodate as well.

take a look at boston's roster. no shot they would take smith for free, let alone pay for his deal.

Boston is not the right team for Smith. Don't sign Duchene, he's too old. Sign someone younger maybe Stephenson and upgrade that LD.
