Description
-Neal goes back to Nashville where he still calls home. In exchange Calgary takes Turris with Nashville retainig 1mil as he has 1 more year on his contract than Neal. Turris gets a chance on the top line as he's more creative and has more speed than Monahan.
- Monahan centres the 2nd line with speed on both wings in the 2 "Z"'s.
- 3rd line is where Backlund should be. This is now a pure shut down line.
- Sign Connoly to add playoff experience.
- Sign Smith to another year and hope he goes "god mode" again next spring.

Gaudreau is too soft. You’ll fold like a cheap tent every year in the playoffs with him.

(1) If Turris is a number-one-center-class player, why would Neal be an equivalent exchange value for him?
(2) Why is one year of a 31-year-old Michael Frolik plus the 26th overall pick worth 4 years of a 27-year-old Jason Zucker?

(1) He's not. It's a trade where both players probably need a change of scenery to try and get their careers back on track. If Turris works at that spot...great! If not, he moves down to the 3rd line. Still an upgrade on Jankowski I feel.

(2) Because it's the rumored deal that was agreed to at the deadline, but paperwork didn't get through in time.

NSH says no easily. Neal is at the bottom of his trade value, and you expect them to retain 1M of Turris' salary? Brodie and Czarnik are worth more than 2 2nds, no one is picking up Stone's contract and actually paying for it.

Good ideas, but tad unrealistic
