OTT
  1. Backes, David
  2. Zboril, Jakub
Additional Details:
OTT buys out Backes, worth minimal real money and gets them to the cap floor. They also pick up Zboril who played great w Chabot in juniors
2.
BOS
  1. 2019 4th round pick (BOS)
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (CHI)
CHI
  1. Moore, John
Additional Details:
I cant really see the Bs trading Moore, not very common to trade a guy the year after you sign him but hes still a very solid 4/5 guy on a lot of teams, can play PP and PK as well.
3.
BOS
  1. 2019 3rd round pick (NYI)
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
2020 3rd is conditional, if Miller plays 60+ games the Bs get the pick, if not they dont
EDM
  1. Miller, Kevan
Additional Details:
EDM gets a rugged Dman who moves the puck very well for a guy that plays the way he does.

I don’t think this is quite as crazy as you think.

It’s not going to happen, because I think panarin is all but signed in Florida, but the logic isn’t terrible. Couple things

I think you’re sending the wrong d man to Edmonton. Ship John Moore out there. Yes it’s rare that a team trades a guy right after signing him long term, but it’s a rare scenario. They signed him to play him and he played fine. What no one counted on was grizz turning into a goddamn star. He should be the kind of player Edmonton targets. Solid, with a manageable cap hit, and term. I would keep Miller.

I think backes will be movable after July first, but it won’t be the Orpik route. The bruins are done with him, and he knows it. I think it’s either retirement after July 1st, ltir, or a trade after July first to a place where he’ll actually play. The problem with this is the year after, when there will be some players needed big money, like debrusk, and grizz. I think those two will cost 10 million combined.

Doubt Panarin takes any thing less then 7 x 10.5 on the open market, He'll be heavily pursued.
