Description
Neither TBL nor LVK are in rebuild mode. CHI has some nice pieces that might fit both teams...while granting them cap freedom

Additional Details:
Why LCK does this...BESIDES the ~$9M in cap savings
Forsling is a Replacement LD that his real upside potential. True, he's not as experienced as McNabb, but LVK is taking advantage of CHI's backlog of D prospects and has 100+ NHL games under his belt.

Eakin is a solid #3C. LVK can't afford him, but they already have a pretty good replacement in Cody Glass that should really get some NHL time. So that's why I included Niklas Nordgren. He's an 18 yr old RW that Bowman moved up on the draft to get. He helps bolster LVK's future.

Hayden is a cheaper version of Reaves. Brings energy and Grit. This is really for LVK to shed a ~$2M more in cap.
VGK
  1. Forsling, Gustav [RFA Rights]
  2. Hayden, John
  3. Nordgren, Niklas [Reserve List]
Additional Details:
Why CHI does this?
CHI is a unique fit that needs vets and has cap space. CHI specifically needs a #3C AND a defensive 2nd pair quality LD. They don't need Reaves, but he's part of the package.
2.
CHI
  1. 2019 2nd round pick (BOS)
3.
CHI
  1. Callahan, Ryan
  2. Cirelli, Anthony
Additional Details:
Cirelli is indeed a solid Piece. TBL needs cap more than anything though. They also can't protect everyone at the expansion. Why not trade for a 1st round LD for your long term future? Get the Cap Space so TBL can sign Point.
TBL
  1. Beaudin, Nicolas
  2. Caggiula, Drake
Additional Details:
Beaudin is a VERY hard piece to give up. CHI has a backlog of defensive prospects and getting a vet LD...makes this easier to swallow. Besides. CHI needs help on the PK and Bowman LOVES LOVES LOVES that Otters team! If he could find a way to get Taylor Raddysh...I'm sure he'd try it.

1. Interesting Vegas trade. I dont think its likely that they trade Mcanbb however. Obviously Reaves and Eakin are getting paid a bit too much than Vegas can afford, but neither are true cap dumps because they both hold solid of value. With that being said, they are getting almost no value back for three very solid players

2. Makes 0 sense for NJ to do, they have no need for a center with Hischer, Zacha, Zajac and likely Jack Hughes so theres no point in giving up assets as a rebuilding team

3. Cirelli is a guy Tampa will 100% hang on to. I get they are in cap hell and will have to dump off some players but I think its much more likely for them to but out Callahan and trade a guy like Johnson, Gourde or Miller who all have good value to a team that needs him and hang on to some better pieces like Cirelli

Don't see Kurashev making the team so we might need to sign a top-9 forward. McNabb could be a sneaky good pickup for the Hawks, he and Murphy could do some serious damage as a shutdown pairing. I think if we trade Beaudin then we almost have to take Byram at 3.

Thanks for the comments! The NJ trade was hard for me. They have something like $35M-$40M in cap space. AA cap play the 2-way role that I think they need. He's FAR from a waste considering he's only 2 years left. He can help them either @ C or LW, BUT definitely with net front presence and defensively along the boards. Also, Let's be honest here...It's not like Hughes is coming in and banging the boards. He's going to be a playmaking offensive player. AA is the opposite and can make a team well rounded. Dahlstrom is a secondary piece they can develop on the back end. He can be a serviceable Dman for cheap. As far as TBL goes...the last few days...maybe weeks is the only time Cirelli's been ahead of...Gourde and Johnson... I can hardly believe I'm saying that though. Gourde was last year's darling and now he's getting traded away. I'm just 1 man with 1 opinion, but they should sell high on Cirelli because there aren't many teams willing to take Callahan's contract and teams are going to take advantage of any JT Miller trade because he's got 4 more years @ $5.25M and most of his 47 points comes from playing on the winningest team in NHL history. As far as the Vegas trade. I agree completely. I'm not sure this get's it done, but It's 1 fell swoop and it really fixes LVK's problems with prospects for the now and future. McNabb is the hard one from the LVK perspective. I get it. Thanks again!

Kurashev might not make the team. He spent a long time in camp last year and tore it up BOTH at worlds and in the Q. I am indeed projecting a bit...maybe a bit too much...but I think he's closer to the NHL than people think. I didn't suggest any draft picks...I would be 100% A-OK with Byram @ #3.
