100% more then that for manson. the ziatsev trade doesnt help the devils. they need all the cap space for the next 2-3 years. if marner was for 10 mill, pretty sure they would have signed him by now

Severe overpayment by the Leafs just to acquire Manson. In effect it's Kapanen, Zaitsev, and two second rounders. Leafs would be much better off keeping Zaitsev and if cap space is needed trading Kapanen for two second rounders, and then the Leafs still keep their two second rounders. On course there is the illusion that Zaitsev is so bad and all other NHL RHD are so good

The price to Anaheim would be a first, a roster player and a viable replacement for Manson, which would be Liljegren. That really isn't the way to go for Toronto, but more to the point, Anaheim isn't dealing its only RhD with actual NHL ability.
