Imma take a crack at a Mcdavid trade that hopefully won’t make either fanbase happy and therefore is probably realistic.
BUF
I think the return for Mcdavid would have to Involve A Stud, A high Potential Prospect, A decent Roster player and a pick, this checks all three boxes, with a small * For Nylander not really being a prospect anymore but never the less
OTT
Sekera doesn’t fit into my roster and a healthy scratch making 5.5 doesn’t make much sense, he will certainly be on OTT Blueline and they are a floor team RN anyways
TOR
I figure johnsson can only be had by offersheet if you give a 1st and 3rd, instead I give other 1st and 3rd that is lower than ours, and Two young D-Men that might work out great for TOR, and we get an almost NHL ready goalie that can hopefully work out to save EDM for years to come, If you don’t like WOLL Scott is another option but I think WOLL is the better of the Two right now.
DUCHENE
I have no idea how much $$ it would take for him to come to a Mcdavidless EDM but lmk in the comments how much you’d think.
Finally
Overall I think the roster has far more depth and a ton of you players with Potential, playing with RNH and Drai should help Nylander and Pulijarvi, if not they aren’t on regrettable deals anyways, the Dcore has a new stud and a some decent pieces in Nurse, Klefbom and Larsson so it should work out, and finally Goaltending will be shaky and a UFA 1-2 year contract to give Woll More time might be wise, but hopefully Woll ends up being the solid starter that EDM has needed for a long time (other than the 1 yr. Talbot was good)
