What do you think the chances are that the Leafs management team does nothing with these players and leave themselves open to an offer sheet? Its amusing that so many people on here are just waiting till July 1 and then someone is going to pounce. Don't you think that if that was at all a danger, the Leafs would trade Kap or Johnsson to maximize the return? According to Cap friendly every team is waiting to sign one of these guys to an offer sheet. Meaning there is a huge demand, if Dubas had any inclination that he was going to lose a guy to an offer sheet, why wouldn't he put up a bidding war and get a better return than this?

Spoiler alert, the answer isn't because he's secretly working for your favourite team and will give up a high value asset for a small return.

Somewhere around the value of a 1st and a 3rd.... a proper offersheet could have him. But as @LoganOllivier has already stated I don’t Think dubas leaves him hanging out. I would think he is moved for a promising elc and a pick.
