Description
So first things first, i watched all 82 lightning games in this season...

...and i watched the 4 games in the playoffs, but i dont want to talk about what happend there ... lets just forget it tampa fans... i was in shock for at least a week... now its better... lets now concentrate to trade away the "weak links":
Palat( injury prone),
Gourde(not enough skill),
Callahan ( too much salary),
JT Miller ( inconsistent performance),
Johnson( i really like him for years, but for us his salary is important - for a lot of other teams not that much, i would keep him for ~ 3.5 mill)

So Panarin accepts lower salary, because he can play with his friends, kucherov and vasilevsky.(if not we can take skinner maybe for 9mill)
Ferland i think will like to play with this stacked team :)

Cernak is NHL ready next season :)
(it was unclear after 10-20 games, what a gem we found), except in playoffs he failed like rest of the team)

I doubt we will pay 10 million to Point, when kucherov has 9.5mill... and he had almost 130 points last year...
We are not Toronto and Point is not Marner, and we are not in canada for higher taxes... Yes, i think Marner will sign for 10.5...

If we pay Point 10 mill, we have a bad GM.If we would have won the stanley cup this year, i would pay Point close to max deal max years... but no we failed miserably...
When u want to win a cup, you have to take less(hello Pastrnak 6.66 mill hello hello hello)...

If he is greedy and wants 10-11 million, then we trade him for a comparable center like kuznetsov, domi, scheifele etc...(we need to avoid the Nylander situation, 7 mill + weak offensive performance) Thats why i traded Gourde too, not good enough offensive skill in the playoffs.
We need to score 3+ goals every match in playoffs, until we have a defense who can shutout opponents...( we dont have that, we are not dallas or boston)
We need every possible skill on offense...

I have high hopes for barré-boulet + volkov +foote in the upcoming years, but you guys think flyers, rangers, sabres would accept these trades?
I can always add more draft picks to any of those trades. I think they are all fair deals, but u guys will prove me wrong i bet...
yes i know they have NTC, or NMC or whatever but lets just say they agree to try to win cup in other places...

since this is my second one here(the first one was in november, now making this new one after our season is over),i accept any negative critics, just lets win that damn cup next year!
maybe we need more defensive players idk, it cant be worse next years playoffs :))
So do guys think this team would have a chance to win next year?(if we pretend every trade is succesful)

All the reasons the UFAs would sign in Tampa are the same reasons your current players won’t waive NMCs and NTCs to leave.

Also, how that sweep taste?

Couple thoughts...

1. All the trades.. plus or minus some picks .. would be good for Tampa and seem reasonable. Very reasonable.

2. Definite yea on Ferland .. mixed on Panarin .. expensive for a team that already has scoring .. but that regular season ONLY .. recall Tampa got SHUTOUT in games 6&7 against Caps in 2018!!!! .. Panarin delivered against Bruins big time..

3. Agree with Cernek and we need another RD and Risto fits .. Hedman should play with Cernek next year .. Mc Donough with Foote (tutoring role like with Cernek this year .. Mc Donoughs value is heavily underestimated) and THIRD pair with Risto and Sergachev .. dont see need for Colburn when you have Rutta as 7th D .. Howver I am not Sergachev fan and could fetch alot in trade and dont worry about cap issues he could bring .. the reality is we dont need him.

I also watched most Tampa games and went to a dozen or so including Game 2 against Columbus when they QUIT .. loud boos from 2nd period on and they deserved more .. being there you could see them flat out quit .. that is UNFORGIVABLE and I will not go to any games next year .. with Cooper and Stamkos still there .. leadership and cohones are non existent...that the sad truth

I actually like Kessel, but that 8 mill cap hit is way too much, so not next year for sure.

Haha i had no doubt you guys lose vs Boston next round, i give Boston 90-10 to knock out CBJ... On the other hand, we could've had a chance vs them, like last year...
Congrats for the Super Sayian mode vs us in all 4 games... You guys were so much better, hopefully next year we bounce back...
