I really like what you did here, but I think the Pens really need to keep Maatta, he's still young, and has a bunch of potential

I don’t think Maatta is bad. I like him as well but the Pens have so much money tied up in defense, and I think getting rid of Maatta, Guddy, and JJ can hell infused some speed and puck moving ability on the D. While I wouldn’t be opposed to keeping Maatta, I think he’s the odd man out.

the problem on the defense isn't the players but the system. This cowboy pinch down approach doesn't work. Especially when teams play in a defensive zone and wait for you to make a mistake.
Sully has one system and only one system of play. He doesn't know how to adjust to a league that has caught up to him.
