Description

I know it is not a full roster, but I don't know enough about Tampa's depth to fully fill it out properly.

On the trade, I accidentally came up with it as a thought, and the more I thought about it, the more and more it made sense.
Trade the younger, better player for a young top player on a steal of a contract. Tampa gets the cap space and a heck of a player for a heck of a player who will likely make up to 3.5 million more than Monahan.

Chicken**** GM's will not make this trade happen, but it just makes too much sense not to.

I would love that, I think Point is the better player, but like you said Monahan is on a nice contract for 4 years, which is the majority of Tampa’s cup window

I absolutely love it, Calgary upgrades their 1C and sends Monahan to somewhere that he doesn't have to go best on best every night. Point and Gaurdreau together would be nasty, I don't know if just Monahan gets the deal done from the TB perspective. Curious to see how the cap would work out in Calgary trying to pay Tkachuk and Point. I'm also biased cause I played midget with Point, so I would love to see him back in town.
