Description
Here are some possibilities that I brainstormed for the leafs summer moves. Brief rundown of my logic below.

The 3 core RFA's I think are all plausible to resign. Marner long term, gets his eight digit contract but doesn't get too high seeming he is a winger. Kapanen will require a bridge deal but Johnson could be signed reasonably long term similar to Hyman few years ago but higher cost.

Unless Marleau retires, which is unlikely, only way you move him is to a playoff team where he would be used. Dallas is a possibility given they lacked depth scoring most of the season and Leafs add the pick for the extra incentive and get a RD. Don't really see this happening but for the sake of the exercise it is reasonable.

Oilers had their eye on Brown before and I think they would happily take him for a pick.

Sens and Leafs swap dmen. Leafs get out of Zaitsev's contract and Sens get cost certainty to bring them to the floor.

Borgman is odd man out, especially with Sandin and Lilijgren improving. I can see them moving him in a minor deal similar to this one for a forward. With this one, Dubas gets another Soo Greyhound alumini.

After those trades, enough caproom to add some vets for depth with McQuaid and Speeza. RD depth and C depth are always valuable and they provide that.

Let me know what you think! Constructive criticism is welcome!

Man. Well for starters, I don’t think I would categorize much of anything in here as a possibility. But can you just explain the logic as to why the senators would consider a move like that?

To reach the cap floor, they have very few contracts taking up money besides Bobby Ryan. Leafs would certainly have to add an incentive for them to do that, quickly realized that after reading your comment, maybe Bracco or a pick(s) would do it, then I see it being plausible.

The Marleau deal is me dreaming, I stated that I don't think it is likely but the rest I could see happening.

Thanks for the feedback!

Johns was on LTIR for more 2018-19.
I would not trade for him unless he can play, looks like damaged goods to me.

Ottawa is cheap af.
They would not do that deal.

You Johnsson and Marner cap hit is a little high but not too far off.

I think Mcquaid will have lots choices, likely gets more money elsewhere.
