Description
Murray's very Specific Offer is the max money on a long term deal that MTL can pay before it costs more then a 1st and a 3rd .

Murray's a D who fits our System and is luckily on a team in Cap hell right now with a dozen RFA's to re-sign and half dozen UFA's thanks to trading all their picks for a playoff run.

The reason Offersheeting will work is because the Expansion draft is after this season and teams like MTL looking to take on contracts will be paying a hefty Price to keep them at Seattle's Expansion draft June/2020 . (so players that arent likely to be protected like Murray are available when they normally wouldnt be let go so easily .)

Turris is on a Decline and is older so its a steep Price but the Upside is he wins Faceoffs like a Top 6 Center if nothing Else and the more Domi and Gallagher have Possession the more Goals we'll score .

Having Turris and Danault share top line Duty's makes sense as all 4 wingers in the top 6 are capable goal scorers who can carry Turris if nothing else but i suspect like Tatar we'll see him fit into Claude Juliens system built on Possession

Tatar will be Traded at the TDL as he like Byron,Lehkonen , and Turris wont be Protected at the Draft but unlike the rest Tatar has gained enough value that there is more value in Trading him to a team pushing for the playoff run.

Leafs will match any 2nd round offer. Don't think Kapanen would sign a 5 year deal that totals "just" 21m. Thinking he would settle for lesser bridge for two years hoping for 5 m plus in future years.

If they match, there are some constraints on trading him. Depending on the offer, they mightn't get the same compensation, though they'd certainly be able to do better than the Habs second-rounder.

i tend to agree
my last post i did it for a 1st and a 3rd

sammy_daws1997 insisted it could be done for a 2nd if you max out the cap to where TML couldnt match

ill do another one and it'll be back to a 1st and a 3rd
