Yeah, let's trade away a franchise center who's coming off of his best season ever, that in his last two seasons has developed and improved his all around game and can play the role of both the scorer and playmaker depending on what's neede, and is signed to a great contract for Dubois and a 4th liner.

Savard is a great 2nd pairing d man and Dubois is a young top 6 forward lol. And u dump Callahan and still have salary. Id take it anyday.

Look at Stamkos differently ..

1. His career playoff numbers are awful .. great analysis done previously by cd232.. and that excludes the TWO years of injuries at end of year.

2. He was a whopping minus EIGHT this year .. almost impossible for PP role.

3. He is NOT a leader and starting his 12th year.

4. In 2019 .. his so called "great year" .. 40 of his points were on PP .. so he really a 50 pt guy who had LOWEST plus minus of any major Tampa player.

5. This 2 way notion of Stamkos is WAY over rated.. Point a better 2 way center already and no where near Bergeron Towes and the stud 2 way centers in this league.

Stamkos still a good player .. no one can say that isnt true .. but he is NOT a top tier playoff capable player or leader .. proof is in the results.. or lack thereof.. of the most talented team in NHL.

Well, the Bolts are ****en blessed that you are not the GM.
What a bunch of absolute garbage.

Stamkos is a bad leader Really? May I listen why he is? You watch the guy hustle every night, never step down for taking blames on himself for him and for his teammates, even fight guys when he's not even remotely a fighter. The guys in the locker room look up to him and he tries to do his best.
They got swept? Were you even watching the games? Do you really complain the sweep on Stamkos? So ****ing dumb.
Have you maybe ever thought that having Stamkos playing almost all the series on a line with Palat and Johnson (that were playing their worst hockey in their entire Bolts career during that series) might have had an influence? Don't you think that having him play with the two poorest performers of the last couple of months of the season would have had an impact on his production? You watched the game and it felt like Stamkos was out there alone 5v5, there were no wingers support. Isn't this setting him up for failure?

Quit the bull****. Stamkos has to take part of the blame for sure, but getting rid of him will absolutely not benefit our franchise. The Dysneylanders are those that think getting rid of the guy that came back from 3 disgusting injuries even stronger, could get our franchise to a better place.
I can guarantee you one thing: nobody in today's NHL is more determined, angry and hungry than Stamkos to finally win it all. These are the guys that you want in the room and out there on the ice in the playoffs. Guys that would take a slapshot to the ****ing face and come back to play no matter what.

Gimmie a break with this BS, the problems we have to address are in our secondary core.
