Keeping hishier and going for top two picks in draft

Seabrook and Anisimov don't replace Hall, even with a #3 pick. If you're the Devils building around Hughes, you can't give away a top star player in his prime for older players. By all means move Hall, but get two youngish very good players or one very, very good player plus a top-15 draft pick.

Here's an idea (just an idea) Hall and Zacha for Tony DeAngelo and the NYR #2. (Assumes Hall is prepared immediately signs an extension). Something like that.

Your going to have to lose on that trade, to gain the third pick, especially in cap era, idea would be hishier, kappo, and Hughes would be the nucleus to a dynasty build

Agreed, but don't take on two crazy overweighted contracts for nothing. Seabrook and Anisimov don't help you develop. They just clog up the pipeline.

Anisimov gets flipped again, and the contracts brought on from rangers end at perfect time for expansion draft and a ton of cap room, and Hughes and kappo exempt from expansion draft, so there will be lots of cap and protection spots. It maybe a painful couple seasons, but I think could be a hell of a starting base
