Man Kessel is a gamble with his contract , age, and defensive liability’s. That being said I would take a chance on him.

Sens don't need this deal. Currently have six LD who could be in the NHL next season. No need to add another one.doubt they make any significant trades this offseason, beyond possibly moving on from Ceci and Harpur.

That deal is a slam dunk for Chicago. Kessel at 6.4 for three years is WAY better value than Saad at 6 for two.

As for the age thing, he'll just be at the start of the decline in the last year, but he's arguably gotten better with age.

There's a rumor from friedman I believe about Kessel for Saad with PIT retaining a little or adding a mid round pick.
