Description
I truly believe Karlsson to Tampa talk is silly. They would be just too top loaded to make sustainable depth and success work.

But if we're entertaining this insanity, may as well lean into it.
He signs for the exact same cap hit as Heddy. 6 years si they can plan their next move together.

Point says 'im not as good as Kuch but im better than Stammer"

Pavelski wants to try things out on the east coast and realizes the San Jose window has closed with the retirement of Jumbo

Everyone waives NTCs because JBB is super convincing and they all desire to play in these exact locations.

What else are you adding to the Panthers? They aren’t just going to help you with your cap situation for free.

Just because Tampa has cap problems doesnt make their forwards bad.

Didn’t say that, said the Cats are going to help them get better unless you pay them to. Yanni is a salary dump to be able to afford EK and Point plain and simple. Also what makes you think both accept such low salaries? They both can get paid much more elsewhere.

Yanni Gourde is not a cap dump, and, if not the Panthers, there are probably about 30 other teams that would love to have him.

The only problems with this are that NYR is not going to take on Callahan if they're really in on Karlsson, Palat has an NTC and is very unlikely to waive to go to VAN, Boston doesn't have the cap space for Killorn, and Tyler Johnson has an NTC that he probably wouldn't waive to go to MIN. You have to find teams with cap space that are also appealing enough to convince someone to waive an NTC, and there are very few places these players would rather be than a dominant Tampa team.

But the Yanni trade comes before the Karlsson signing. 3rd rounder for him is a bargain. Point's an RFA with no arb rights. As i said in the description, Karlsson to Tampa is ridiculous so im leaning into the insanity. Point taking 875 isnt the most unreasonable number considering Tampa's salary structure. Kuch signed for 9.5. does Point think he's that much better than Kuch?
