Call me crazy but if im Vancouver I do this. Even thought you lose Pettersson, you get Jack Hughes, Ty Smith and keep your 9th overall and select one of Caufield/Krebs/Boldy/Broberg etc

Small gamble on Vancouver's side since Pettersson has already proved himself on the NHL level, but there's no reason to think that Hughes won't. You get an extra year of ELC back. Ty Smith is a great prospect as well. Plus Vancouver keeps their 2019 1st at 9th overall. Vancouver accepts after thinking about it for a few minutes.
