Description
Just spitballing. I don't think it'll actually happen considering TBL's use of Cirelli in the playoffs. But sending back a REALLY GOOD EXPANSION PROTECTED Dprospect and a 2nd round pick this year. That's nothing to slouch about. Also taking on a $6M cap dump...yes he's ~95% cap dump...~5% productive.

I don't see why the Hawks would include Beaudin and a second round pick in this deal. I figure the cost to take on Callahan is Raddysh... therefore the deal now looks like Beaudin + 2nd for Cirelli? I think we could get a much better player for that package.

Well...maybe it's a bit off. I'd like to hear from TBL fans though. Cirelli was promoted to #1C during the playoffs. That's not an easy thing either considering the talent on that team. Cirelli is a True center and would be a huge help if he was the #3C on this team. This would also mean drafting Byram Bowen (which I think they should do anyway) and also getting a solid center. I think the team as a whole looks better for the next 3-5 years.

Why would the Hawks take on Callahan's contract? To get Raddysh, yes, but that's another bad contract for Chicago. They have too many of those to take on another.

It's just 1 year. Weaponize the cap to CHI's benefit.

This is off value-wise. Cirelli is and will be worth much more. He's an A prospect who's got NHL experience and is only going to get better.

Beaudin is two years out with no pro experience.
