Description
I've always liked Jordan Eberle. This would give the Caps great depth on the wings.

Oshie is too effective to be on line 3.

I agree, but he is also unfortunately injury prone. Maybe a couple fewer minutes a night would do him some good. H's still gotta play in DC for six more years. I don't want him to be completely broken.

Pass. I like Eberle too, but we already have Oshie's bad contract weighing us down in the future. Eberle is 29 years old who hit 37 points last season. I'd do something small like $5MAAV 4 years but no way Eberle does that. But I don't want to pay him $6.5M until he's 36 and he's putting up 30-40 points a game in the back half of his career.

Before this season, Eberle was consistently a 50+ point guy. I think playing with Backstrom/Kuznetsov would help him get back to that level instead of staying on an offensively challenged Islanders squad. He also looked amazing in the playoffs. But it's a fair point that you might not want to commit 7 years.

too long and too much, but I think he fits in WAY better than Mojo. I like the idea of Osh dropping to 3RW minutes and preserving his body a bit for the long haul. He's a leader he's a big component of success, but doesn't mean he cannot try to last a few more years.

Don't need Honka. Keep Siegs on Right D, bring up Lucas Jo in 3LD...to rotate w/ Djoos until one really proves best.

Don't need Janmark, put Gersich in 3LW and Walker in 4LW or spend hat money on Hagelin.
