There's a story out there that Trouba's camp threatened that he'd demand a trade or holdout if he was dealt anywhere but the Rangers and it sounds like there were plenty of teams interested and some offered better deals then the Pionk/1st package the Jets got but Chevy's hand was forced a bit. If I'm understanding it correctly it appears Chevy had better offers given to him but he didn't want to screw over any of his fellow GM's so he traded Trouba to where he wanted to go and I guess that was the best the Rangers would offer cause they knew that's where he wanted to go so they knew they didn't have to give up much. Don't know if that makes any sense but that's how I'm interpreting the stories I've read about it, Pittsburgh was one of the teams that pushed for him and I read about this in insidepittsburghsports.com.
