Rd 1 #28 - Ryan Suzuki
Simply put, we grabbed the best player available at the time, that's always a win
Grade - A

Rd 2 #36 - Pyotr Kochetkov
Second best Goalie in the draft, I wanted Kaliyev here but since he was gone, I'm good with this
Grade - B+

Rd 2 #37 - Traded to Ottawa:
Received:
#44 - Jamieson Rees
#83 - Anttoni Honka
Nothing against either guy, but i'm not a fan. I would have loved Lavoie here
(and of course he goes next pick to EDM) I think we missed out
Grade - C-

Rd 2 #59 - Traded to Minnesota
Received:
#73 - Patrik Puistola
#99 - Cade Webber
If they would have taken Puistola at #59 i would have called it a good pick, so for me this is a double win.
Great trade, nabbed us a free D prospect
Grade - A

Rd 3 #90 - Dominick Fensore
Honestly never read much on him, although other Canes Fans seem to be rather high on him, so that's good.
Grade - B+

And with the Marleau trade and Fox hopefully playing pro next year
We're looking stocked for next year's draft as well (2 picks in each round)

Overall I call it a great weekend

I rly like the picks they did. Specially Puistola at 73 is very good value at that point.

It's not that i'm down on either player, i just felt Lavoie was clearly a better prospect.

So i look at it as "Would I trade Lavoie for both"
For me that's a no. that's why i have it as a C-
