There are costs to gaining cap space but if it’s the cost of a 3rd line, a D-Man and a pick or the cost of Mitch Marner I’d gladly give up the former....
Marner Contract, obviously an exaggeration but hey you never know if someone will offer him that on an offer sheet, just basically showing they can afford whatever it costs
Brown Trade makes sense for leafs cause they need the cap space and have players to replace him, for EDM the need wingers and Brown is a good one who has chemistry with Mcdavid, you hope he finds his 20 goal pace again, if not he is a good 3rd liner worth atleast a 3rd
Zaitsev Trade- explains itself
Kadri Trade- Faksa is a BIIIIIIG downgrade but is still and acceptable 3C, Dallas gets to upgrade for the low cost of a second and in exchange they retain a bit of salary for 1 year
Miller value has gone down in the last year and Vegas needs cap space so they do what we did with Zaitsev except their guy is better so I’ll still give them 2 2nds
