Description
First off, Jets sign Brassard to a "show me" contract and sell him on playing with Laine in order to get one more big(ger) contract before he retires.
Secondly, the jets try and sign Copp but he wants too much money and they recoup future assets by dealing him to Detroit.
Ottawa agrees to the Matty P/JGP swap as a way of getting to the cap floor and giving one of their loyal soldiers a chance to play for a contender and the jets sweeten the pot with a 4th rounder to retain salary.

The cap floor thing isn't an issue for the Sens after their recent trade and signings so you've gotta find another home for Perreault.

Trading Copp for picks would be really stupid, he's way better than Lowry, the move to make would be to trade Lowry for picks and sign Copp to a good deal with as much term as they can get him for.

The sens need 1.5 mill to get to the floor, have two RFA's to sign that should be around 2 mill, but they also have 3 goalies on their roster. So maybe they do need Matty P? It's also a move that gets them a solid versatile vet to play up and down their lineup for the next 2 years
I do think Copp and Lowry and similar and I dont want the jets to lose Copp, but in this scenerio they tried and failed to sign him. Im not too sure i like the idea of trading Lowry, but it makes sense to keep Copp.
