Description
I based the lee contract on the Hayes/JVR deals and signed Carpenter to contribute to the penalty kill.

Although the Blackhawks could sign another winger like Donskoi I have a feeling Bowman will stick with what they have. They like Kubalik, Sikura and Cagguila and beilieve compete for the final top 9 slot. I also think Kubalik will get PP2 time at some point like Kahun did.

The Anisimov trade is a cap dump to which ever team needs to hit the cap floor since he doesnt have a NMC anymore.

The Lowry trade is up for discussion. I think a Lowry for Murphy trade could benefit both teams with Lowry being a great penalty killer and Murphy can fill one of the RHD holes they have with Trouba and Myers gone.

With murphy being Traded though, this allows for either Jokiharju to make the team out of camp or for Boqvist to get his 9 games in October before going back to junior. Plus it clears cap space for the DeBrincat and Strome deals.

So despite the GM and everyone saying the Hawks want 1 year deals or cheap contracts ...and that the no credible source has linked the 2. It's all blogger speculation.

It's called a "hopeful" offseason. Not a "hey this is what was reported and for sure is going to happen because I can see into the future" offseason

So where does the money for Debrincat and Strome come from? They're going to want 14 million if not more collectively. You've ready traded Murphy and Anisimov. The only contract coming off the books is Crawford. There's a reason Stan wants expiring deals and cheap bottom 6 players.

Okay I get your point Im just saying they can sign one of those two guys and it would help the top 9 greatly for the coming years. Definitely not both though especially if the cap doesnt increase as much over the next few years.
