There is plenty of cap to get Marner done first you have 24 players on your roster. 2nd Marner will get less than $10M don't drink the TO media cool aid

Why does Marner get 11m plus? The very comparable Aho got 8.45. Even if Marner got 11m, all the Leafs have to do is make a trade to be cap compliant. Gee, I would expected a better post even from first timer.

Marner's agent already said he doesn't care about the "comparables". They're only using Matthews' contract as a comparable. So it's likely they get a bridge deal now

Actually they can sign Marner still. During the off-season teams are allowed to go 10% over the cap, that gives them an allowable extra $8.15M. Then they can make trades or place Hyman and Dermott on season opening LTIR (screws them long term but it helps temporarily) to be cap compliant for opening night..
