Both decline. A pile of players you can get off the waiver wire has no value. Vegas take out the pick and add Olofson on your end...maybe. Oilers...start over. They don’t want any of that mess.

Helps out VGK with cap space while getting players that they don't have to add to the lineup right now. VGK gets a 1st and a 7th pick for cap space, a 7th and a 3rd, may not be out of the realm of possibilities.
EDM could use a these types of players that are inexpensive and can be kept on the farm for another year if they seem fit.

Better that any Laine offer sheets I've seen out there!
