Laine and Big Buff v2

Gallagher is about the only interest in that jets deal, everybody going back to mtl are off the books in two years or less, so not to painful to let them play them out, then there’s laine and even a bridge deal to get him to when the money opens up solves that problem, might be rather expensive by then so maybe then the blockbuster is in the works, too much of a sell low feeling if jets sell today on laine.

Long term maybe Gallgher is the only player of interest, but I'd have to add Lehkonen in that conversation also.

Short term, the Jets look like a better team after this trade. Dont know what they're gonna do with Tatar and Gallagher in 2 yrs, but until then, it gives time for their prospects to develop and insert them in the lineup to take on bigger roles if Tatar and Gallagher end up walking. I believe Weber will have a better influence on their D prospects than Buff. And I truly believe Wheeler would take Weber and Gally on his team with open arms. Weber will probably retire worst case scenario in 4 yrs and Nashville will take on the recapturing penalty.
