Yeah instead of an offersheet that would cost 2x1st - a 2nd and a 3rd I'll give a serviceable roster player 2x1st and 2x2nds. And we're missing a 23rd roster player with 860k left in bank.

you would be better off offer sheeting Laine instead and then trade Byron for some pick to clear cap space.

Sheet Laine and they will find a way to match it like Aho. If a trade is done, then Winnipeg get something in return and are on board with him leaving..

with Laine and other players needing deals done if you would offer sheet Laine at 9.5 Mil I don't think they would be able to match it or trade away some players away
