opening night no marner

I imagine Shore will get more looks on the 4th line over Bracco. Perhaps Bracco plays some 3RW, but I am still not convinced he will ever see game action while Babcock is the Leaf's coach. Where is Frederick Gauthier btw?

put him in minors but he probably gets traded tbh. i know he PK'ed a bit last year and they desperately need that to open the season especially if marner and hyman arent there but I dont think any line with goat and spezza should be a thing. babs could definitely do it though. agree with the shore comment but id at least imagine they use a waiver exempt guy on the roster for when people come back. bracco prob stays up in press box

I don't think Gauthier passes through waivers, so something will need to be done there - I can't see the Leafs letting him go for nothing. Bracco won't spend time in the press box. He has proven he can score in the AHL, which is where I believe he will start the season. I think Engvall and Marchmant get legit shots to start the season with the Leafs, and I think both have improved their skating enough to do it. Both bring a physical element, and would do so on our 4th line. An eventual 4th line of Envgall/Marchmant-Spezza/Gauthier-Moore/Shore could be a pretty decent line.

If Marner holds out part of the season like Nylander, it will be a black eye on the Leafs organization showing other players Nylander wasn't the issue last year. Not good
