tinkering 20 - 21 with marner in the mix

I would like to see Hamonic come to Toronto but I think he goes home this offseason, IMO. I wouldn't sign Marchment, Gauthier, Harpur, Wagner or Gravel to that kind of term as they are all expandable pieces. Also, we haven't seen Mikheyev play with the Leafs yet so we don't know how he'll fit in if he's good he'll want more money if not he likely goes back to Russia. Also, Pysyk isn't worth that kinda money he's a 3rd pairing guy we can likely find a better player(s) to spend that kind of money on although personally, I think Dermott and Pysyk could be a decent pairing. Biega will want more money also.

I don't like the defence as such, I prefer what i have on my other 20-21 ... although I wouldn't mind signing psysks there if hamonic doesn't sign. The main reason is Marner's contract, it is so heavy and bulky that it creates money issues to sign defence.

Pysyk played 2nd pairing minutes in Florida, they dropped him to the 3rd pairing because he got overmatched. I don't think he would be a good fit for the Leafs because of his lack of mobility (Toronto is a much faster team than Florida and he struggled their) he reminds me of Cody Franson only worse because he doesn't provide the same kind of offence that Franson did. Logging big minutes doesn't matter if you're not effective i.e. Zaitsev I'm just saying there are better options available than Pysyk. Why not sign Braun? He would cost less and take less term and be much better defensively if you're going that route.
